Message definition (Germany:Germany)
Consolidated scientific findings are crucial for political decisions. Therefor BMEL can draw on its well-established specialist research institutions. This departmental research includes the aforementioned four federal research institutes as well as the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and the German Biomass Research Centre (DBFZ). Innovative research and competent scientific policy advice are closely linked tasks of these institutions.

Federal Environment Agency

Template:Institution The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) is a specialist authority within the portfolio of the BMUB. The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) is also responsible for the quality of drinking water; the drinking water department of the UBA as responsible authority supports the BMG. Other statutory tasks include informing the public at large about environmental protection.
